Home-Brew Dispensing System

Problem:
There are 6500 people coming to your club’s Oktoberfest event, and they want to taste three dozen beers—in just 6 hours.

Solution:
Facing that predicament in Charlotte, N.C., avid home-brewer Tony Profera designed “Junior,” a portable 11-tap draft dispenser that accommodates rolling carts, so kegs can be swapped out quickly and easily.

London Amateur Brewers

We were invited by Antony Hayes to join the London Amateur Brewers at the Wenlock Arms Pub (upstairs in the fine meeting room) - we arrived after only one wrong turn and an extra mile of walking (I forgot the GPS).  They had 12 cask ales available along with several other taps.
This month they had presentations on Bitter (English Pale Ale) from Mick and cleaning and sanitizing from Tony. Beers by Phil (2!), Paul, Mick, Mark, and Evin. Great beers guys - sorry we couldn’t bring ours. Thanks for the pub recommendations (and directions from Dan)! Mike also suggested we check out durdenparkbeer.org.uk - historic beer styles and recipes.

The Five Stages of Drunkenness

THE FIVE STAGES OF DRUNKENNESS

Stage #1 — Smart

This is when you suddenly become an expert on every subject. You know all and greatly wish to express this knowledge to anyone who will listen. At this stage you are also always right. And of course the person you are talking with is very wrong. You will talk for hours trying to convince someone that you are right. This makes for an interesting argument when both parties are “smart”. Two people talking, in fact, arguing about a subject neither one really knows anything about, but are convinced that they are they complete authority on the subject makes for great entertainment for those get the opportunity to listen in.
