A Beloit Wisconsin homebrewing club founded in January 2003. Brewers and non-brewers are more than welcome to attend. Brewers, please feel free to bring any brews to sample. Remember there are no dues, no rules and free peanuts! Oh, I forgot there is one rule.. Please, no smoking at the tasting table and we also request a $2.00 tip for the Sud's staff to clean up after us. Just leave it on the table. Cheers!!!

Hey Beloit,
I must admit that I am stumbling around your website.
I first sent out this letter last October, but I failed to contact you (bad address). The project was put on the back burner untill now.
So far the clubs in Madison, Wausau, Green Bay and Racine have responded and we are forming a board to discuss this further. What about Beloit?

_._,_.___
Dear fellow Homebrewing clubs,
As I meet people from other homebrew clubs in Wisconsin, one thing that usually comes up is why we do not have more contact with one another. Located in Milwaukee,we Barons see our brethren in the southeastern area of Wisconsin ( Racine , Kenosha ), and occasionally brewers from northern Illinois at competitions and festivals, but rarely from other parts of our great state. So the idea is this, how about a Wisconsin Home brewing Convention?
The dead of winter would be a good time, January or February, to get together for a weekend of sharing beer and ideas. We could book a hotel with conference center for a Friday and Saturday night in a central part of the state, and hold activities Friday night, all day Saturday and Saturday night. Activities may include a competition, a beer pairing dinner, and taking short field trips to local beer attractions as well as seminars. What the AHA does nationally but on a smaller scale. What do you think?
The first step would be to see what level of interest your club members would have. I have talked to my fellow Beer Barons and approximately 40 members have expressed interest. Once we have a rough count we would need to form a committee to hammer out the details. It would be good, but not necessary, to have this group made up from all of the participating clubs. Using the internet, we should be able to do this from afar.
We hope you find this idea as exciting as we do. Talk to your club members and let us know if there is any interest. We are looking forward to hearing from you. (Please forward to any clubs you know that might be interested - thanks!)
Yours in beer,
Mike Rice

I would look up welding supply in Janesville. I know Welders Supply in Beloit will fill co2 takes for brewing. Some will just swap the tank.

I just left a "comment" on the site, but figured this may get me a quicker answer?

I live in Evansville and have just built my kegerator. I purchased a 20# co2 tank
off of ebay - and need to get it filled! Any suggestions? Very much appreciated.

Thanks
